About Locara

Infrastructure people, operating infrastructure locally.

Locara exists because organizations were being asked to choose between modern cloud capability and control over where their data and applications run. We think that is a false choice, and we built a platform to prove it.

What we do

We provide cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure and managed application services from locally operated infrastructure. In practice that means three things at once: a platform to run workloads on, the data and AI services around them, and an engineering team that operates the result.

How we work

  • We start with an assessment, not a proposal. If the honest answer is that public cloud suits a workload better, we say so.
  • We build on open technologies — Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, S3-compatible storage, Terraform — so that leaving remains an engineering exercise.
  • We write down what we run: architecture, runbooks, recovery objectives and the results of the drills that test them.
  • We do not claim certifications we do not hold, invent customer references, or promise that infrastructure alone makes an organization compliant.

What we are not

We are not a web hosting company, and the distinction matters. Hosting ends at the server. We take responsibility for the platform above it — orchestration, data services, delivery, monitoring, recovery — and, where you want it, for the applications running on top.

Talk to the people who would run your platform

First conversations are with engineers. Bring your architecture, your constraints and your scepticism.
